Scarecrows of all shapes, sizes and styles are popping up all over the Black Isle, much to the delight of the volunteers at Groam House Museum in Rosemarkie, who came up with the idea.

A spokesman for the museum said she was absolutely delighted with the response.

“They have brought a smile to everyone’s face and if you can’t get out to see them do have a look at our Facebook page – Black Isle Scarecrows. We just love how inventive people have been; we have Dan de Lion in Fortrose, a couple of ninjas in Raddery, two schoolgirls waiting for the schools to reopen at Cullicudden and Flora the Fisherwoman waiting for her man in Munlochy.

"But my favourites have to be in Rose and Markie. Can you guess where they are?”
