Staff and supporters of a Highland mental health charity faced their fears to undertake an abseil and bungee jump fundraising challenge.

Thrillseekers Ami McCarle, Amy Hasson, Pete Davidson, Maria Kelly, Gary Miller and Reece Byrne all took part in the event for Mikeysline at Craggan Outdoors near Aviemore.

It was organised by Mikeysline support worker, Graeme Watson.

"In order to raise vital funds for our services, we wanted to do something that was challenging," he said.

"The bungee jump and abseil seemed challenging enough and we very much appreciate the bravery and effort shown by those who participated.

"They conquered a lot of fears and the support we received from Highland Fling Bungee and Craggan Outdoors was very much appreciated.

"We are very grateful for the efforts of Ami, Amy, Gary, Maria, Pete and Reece for stepping forward to take part as well as to everyone who has donated."

Their exploits raised a fantastic £735.

Mikeysline was founded in late 2015 to provide mental health support after a number of suicides in the Highlands.

Its services include a text helpline and a drop-in centre, the Hive, in Academy Street, Inverness.

It recently launched a new support service specifically aimed at young people, offering one-to-one appointments for those requiring a confidential, non-judgemental place to talk and be listened to.
