A Sunday morning dip in the Moray Firth for some Nairn swimmers has raised more than £300 for Team Hamish.

The swimmers met to hold a Rainbow Swim in memory of local boy Hamish and mother Susan Hey.

Mrs Hey, who passed away in May from breast cancer, set up the charity Team Hamish with husband Sam and daughter Lily, with the aim of celebrating the life of her son Hamish who lived with a rare form of cancer, before passing away in 2017.

The charity is involved in building a splash pad on Nairn’s waterfront, due to open later this year.

Lucy Harding, a regular swimmer, said: “We decided to do something to remember Susan and Hamish.

"We were unable to organise the annual Highland games, so instead, a few of us went for a swim to raise money for Team Hamish and in memory of Hamish and Susan."
