Summer loving was in the air for film fans who attended an outdoor showing of a big screen classic in Inverness.
The romantic musical comedy Grease was one of four films screened at an outdoor cinema set up at the Caledonian Stadium.
Almost 700 people turned out over four nights this week to see John Travolta and Olivia Newton John strut their stuff, as well as the movies Braveheart, Joker and family favourite Toy Story.
The man behind the drive-in cinema, Callum Campbell, said despite initial access problems leading to a slightly later start than planned, overall the event had been a success and he was already planning a return to the Highland capital.
“It seems that everyone came and enjoyed themselves for nights which really had a nostalgic feel about them,” he said.
“I hope that we might do some Christmas showings later on in the year – I think they would be ideal.
“I’m not sure if pantos are going to be on this year, so it could be an alternative to that for a family night out.
“There has been some really good feedback on our Facebook page and I was very happy with the team I had around me, who helped get those positive reviews.”
