Friends and colleagues of a popular hotel doorman have raised £4547 for a Highland charity.

They presented the cheque at Highland Hospice this week.

Charles Murray, who worked at the Drumossie Hotel, is currently being cared for at the facility and his friends decided to tackle the 555 Challenge to raise the money.

The challenge encouraged supporters to walk, cycle or run five miles and donate £5 to the hospice and then ask five friends to do the same.

Mr Murray is a long-standing member of the hotel team and his workmates were all committed to raising money because of the amazing care he is receiving.

He began working at the hotel 15 years ago and was a familiar sight standing at the banqueting entrance in his kilt to warmly welcome guests to the hotel.
