Bingo players were “going loco” at the British Legion in Dingwall on Saturday night.
An 80s’ tribute night with a difference raised over £1600 to benefit two local charities thanks to the efforts of neurodiversity support worker Simone Stewart.

Simone, who has been organising the event for the last four years, welcomed a big crowd for ‘Bingo Loco’ - an evening of bingo and music with a 1980s theme designed to raise cash for local causes close to her heart.
47-year-old mum of three Simone has held the event in honour of her “amazing” granny, Norah Wells, since 2023, after she sadly died following two battles with cancer.
This year’s event was extra special as it fell on her granny’s birthday.
She said: “That was the best one yet, everyone was in the best form and had a lovely night, so thank you all it made it. It was even better that it fell on my granny’s birthday, but it’s not just about my granny - this night was to celebrate everyone we have lost.”
As well as bingo and music, guests tried their luck at a fundraising prize draw with one lucky guest scooping a pair of tickets to this year’s Belladrum festival.
After expenses, a sum of £823.50 was raised for each of Simone’s supported causes, charities, Highland Hospice and Autism & Neurodiversity - North Scotland.
She added: “I would like to thank everyone that came along to my Bingo Loco night and everyone that couldn’t make it that still donated and shared the event. The night couldn’t have gone better.
“Everyone was on good form and everyone was up dancing right from start. There were lots of great prizes won and the very lucky Kelly Stott won two weekend Belladrum tickets.
“Gary Tuach and Prism Event Lighting made the night the best. I have already booked them both for next years one.”
