AN Easter Ross initiative aimed at younger folk is set to get back on track today.

The Place youth group announced plans for a new outdoor initiative at the field it has use of to develop a range of different facilities and structures.

The original plan to begin this project at the start of the Easter Holidays was hampered by the weather.

The group plans to get back on track this afternoon and will be in The Field from 2pm-4pm for all youngsters (S1+) to come down to plan, build and prepare different areas of the land.

It said: "We are very excited to get started and hope to see as many young people down as possible!"

The Place posted earlier that it is looking for groups of young people to work on a number of activities including:

Build a shelter

Plan, dig and string the light path

Plan and start the tree path

Plan and develop barbecue area

Make bird boxes and tables

Plan and develop a fruit area

Paint and plant raised beds

The project will lead towards Youth Achievement Awards which, if completed, will result in a recognised qualification.

Anyone with questions or wanting more details is asked to make contact on 07789 619591 or through the group's Facebook page.
