Highland Council has announced the online enrolment arrangements for primary one and early learning and childcare places.

Parents and carers are being invited by Highland Council to enrol their child online for primary one and early learning and childcare for this school year starting August 17.

Children who will be five years of age on or before February 28, 2022 are eligible to enrol for primary one.

Children born between March 1, 2017 and February 2,8 2019 are entitled to a funded early learning and childcare place.

The primary one enrolment week for Highland schools is from Monday, January 25 to Friday, January 29.

For early learning and childcare places, enrolment week will be Monday, February 8 to Friday, February 12.

To enrol your child, or for further information on completing the online form, the enrolment process, catchment areas, Gaelic Medium education, school transport and placing requests, please visit www.highland.gov.uk/enrol.

Once you have enrolled your child online, the school will contact you to arrange the necessary induction for your child.

Although some parents may wish their child to attend a school other than their local primary school, they must first enrol at their catchment area primary school and then make a placing request.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no face-to-face enrolment in schools this year.

Parents who do not have access to the online enrolment process should contact their catchment school during enrolment week to request a paper copy of the enrolment form.
