Dingwall Community Council flags 5K fun run to celebrate Queen's Platinum Jubilee

A ROSS-SHIRE community group has opened entries for a 5K fun run as part of celebrations to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

It will be held in Dingwall on June 4 as part of a fun day.

Dingwall Community Council said: "The medals are here! It's time to dust off your (optional) fancy dress and join the fun! "No sponsorship required, just a great opportunity to get some exercise, have fun and enjoy a local community event."

Keen beans can pre-register by emailing jamiepscot@yahoo.co.uk or just come along on the day.

Registration then is from 11-11.30am outside the Royal British Legion with a warm-up from 12-12.15pm.

There is an entry fee of £5 for adults and £2.50 for children.

The event is in aid of Shopmobility which has a base in the town.

Tesco is providing water and snacks for every runner.
