The cumulative number of known infections across the region since the start of the pandemic rose from 5153 to 5155 when the latest figures were released.

NHS Grampian’s total number of confirmed cases rose by 34, to 15,138.

And there were seven new infections across NHS Tayside, which now has a rolling tally of 14,719.

Almost 2.88 million Scots have now received their first Covid vaccination jag, while more than 1.42 million have received their second.
