Police have issued a renewed plea for information to help trace an Easter Ross man last seen four weeks ago in Sutherland.

The fresh appeal over the whereabouts of Finn Creaney, who is from the Tain area, came after family and friends mounted a crowdfunding campaign to fund further searches.

The 32-year-old was reported missing on Monday March 28 and was last seen around 2.15 pm on Friday March 25 at Altnaharra in Sutherland near Loch Naver.

He was wearing a brown jacket, light coloured shirt, jeans and brown leather and suede boots.

He was carrying a green army surplus-style rucksack.

Police Scotland is asking anyone with any information to contact them via the non-emergency 101 telephone number, quoting incident number 0912 of March 28, 2022

Mr Creaney was dropped off at Loch Naver on the B873 public road in Sutherland to start his planned walking route around the loch and south to Golspie.

A justgiving page has been set up in a bid to raise £3000 to continue the search.

It has already passed the £1000 mark.
