Co-op promises offers and promotions for customers to mark relaunch of Alness store following £1.2 million investment
A NEW look is set to be unveiled at a Ross-shire supermarket following a £1.2 million investment.
The Alness Co-op – which is located on the High Street and runs on 100 per cent renewable electricity – will offer new self-service tills, an in-store bakery and cash machine, National Lottery and PayPoint alongside fresh foods, food-to-go and more when it goes live with its new look on March 12.
Paul Thomson, Co-op area manager, said: “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to make such a significant investment in our Alness store which will help us to better serve the needs of the local community.
“It will have a great new look and bigger range and the team is looking forward to welcoming customers back into the store.
“We also want customers to know that they can become a co-owner and member of their Co-op, and that the Co-op gives back to its Members and the community – our Members help us to make a difference locally, raising money for local causes simply by swiping their Membership card when they shop with us.“
There will be offers and promotions in and around the store to mark its re-launch.
The revamped Co-op will also bring a funding boost for local good causes through the in-store Membership scheme. Members receive a five per cent reward when they swipe their card when buying own-branded products, and the Co-op donates a further one per cent to local good causes.
In November, the latest pay out saw more than 4000 UK community causes share in £17 million.
Students in the area holding a Young Scot card can also pocket a 10 per cent discount off their groceries.
