AN artist who spent four winters living, writing, and photographing from a small Scottish beach is set to unveil a special exhibition in Wester Ross later this month.

The exhibition titled 'From the Seahouse' by artist Linda Lashford is being shown at Rhue art gallery just outside Ullapool. The exhibition is taking place from July 23 to October 31. The exhibition will launch on Saturday July 23 from 2–4pm, and will be featuring prints, poems, and the 'From the Seahouse' book.

Rhue art gallery said:"From the Seahouse is a collection of images and words that has arisen out of a period of retreat, and spans four winters living, writing, and photographing from a small Scottish beach."

The artist, Linda Lashford said: "At night I write, drawing words from the same physical and emotional landscape as the photographs. And while the images have the stillness of the winter shoreline the words explore that tumult; the raw physical power of the winter environment and my internal world, where unsettling memories are unlocked by a scent or a stone."
