POLICE are appealing for information after a marquee being used for a bonfire night celebration was vandalised on the Black Isle.

The marquee tent was pitched at The Links in Cromarty for the community event arranged by the local community council on Friday night.

But sometime between 11pm on Friday and mid-day on Saturday the tent was slashed and damaged.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Police in Dingwall on 0845 600 5703 or confidentially on Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
