The Borough Briggs club were caught up in a ticketing fiasco for their home match against Rangers in November, when the match was postponed after City officials admitted they oversold more than a thousand tickets.

But the Elgin players restored pride to the club with Saturday's Ibrox draw, which will be regarded as one of the best in their history.

Even after having midfielder Paul Harkins sent off in the first half, City battled back from the loss of an early goal to grab a sensational 86th minute equaliser through Jamie Duff.
