Multi-time world champion boxer Tyson Fury greets fans during pit stop in Alness after far north visit
World-famous boxer Tyson Fury made an unexpected appearance in Alness today.
The multi-time heavyweight world champion was spotted at Morrison’s petrol station while travelling south on the A9 following a short family break in Caithness.
Fury had been filming for the upcoming second season of his popular Netflix series At Home With The Furys, and was seen earlier this week staying at John O’ Groats Caravan and Camping Site, where he posed for photos with fans.
During the pit stop in Alness, the “Gypsy King” took time to greet shoppers and happily posed for a photo with 13-year-old Harris Harkiss from Evanton.
“I asked him if he was Tyson Fury and he said no,” Harris said. “I didn’t know if he was joking, because he had a Tyson top on – but then he told me he was. He was super nice! He is the GOAT. I told him my Uncle James would be jealous.”
Another shopper at the scene said: “I wasn’t sure if it was him at first but as soon as he let out a big stretch, it was clear it was Tyson! There’s no mistaking his voice.”
Fury also stopped off at Cafe Groats for breakfast before leaving the far north. Staff at the caravan site posted on social media: “We were delighted to host the one and only ‘Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury and his family… It was a pleasure to have them all stay with us.”
