RE-ELECTED Dingwall-based MSP Kate Forbes admitted to being moved by the response of voters who returned her to represent the area at Holyrood with a thumping majority last week.

She was part of an SNP clean sweep of Highland constituencies which also saw Strathpeffer-based Maree Todd secure the Caithness, Sutherland and Ross seat.

Ms Forbes admitted she was "under no illusion about the challenges ahead for the economy, health and education of the Highlands" but pledged to redouble her efforts and "work tirelessly for my constituents".
