Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team scrambled after couple get lost while walking in Wester Ross near An Teallach; pair had been heading for Shenavall bothy

MOUNTAIN rescuers were scrambled to help a couple who became lost while walking near An Teallach last night.

The full Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team were called out to assist the young couple who had “become disoriented while walking into Shenavall bothy”.

“Eighteen members responded to the call-out and, having established where the missing persons were, two hill parties were dispatched out to their location,” said a spokesman for the team.

“The couple were quickly located, warmed up and escorted back to base. The team stood down shortly after 3am.”
