POLICE appealing for help finding a missing woman over “concerns for her welfare” have found her “safe and well”, the local force has confirmed.

Officers had launched an appeal in the early hours of this morning (Thursday) after the woman, who has not been named, left a community council meeting in Conon Bridge.

The woman had last been seen leaving the Leanaig Centre in Ben Wyvis Primary School at 7.40pm on Wednesday.

But at 8.30am this morning police issued a fresh update to say she had now been found.

“We are pleased to confirm that the woman we were looking to trace at Conon Bridge yesterday evening is safe and well. Thank you for the shares,” said a spokesman.
