A MISSING Ross-shire man has been found "safe and well", police have confirmed.

Police Scotland had issued a plea for information earlier today (Wednesday) after Gavin Loch was reported missing.

Mr Loch (25), from Muir of Ord, had not been seen since Saturday evening.

But officers issued an update this evening to say that he has now been found.

"Gavin has now been traced safe and well," said officers. "Thank you again."
