Alness man (39) posted missing urged to make direct contact with Easter Ross police
POLICE have appealed to an Easter Ross man they have posted as “missing” to make contact with them.
Police first posted an appeal for information from the public to trace 39-year-old Michael Charles Davidson, who is also known as Michael Gallacher, on Thursday afternoon last week.
The appeal cautioned members of the public not to approach him if they see him but to make contact with police instead.
He was posted missing from the Alness area although apparently has since posted on social media himself in direct response to the police appeal.
He is described as being 5ft 10in, of slight build, with dark brown hair. He is typically clean shaven and speaks with a local accent.
Detective Inspector Calum Reid said: “We want to trace Mr Davidson as quickly as possible, and I would ask anyone with information to please contact Police Scotland. I would ask the public not to approach Mr Davidson if you believe you have seen him, and instead call Police Scotland as soon as possible.
“We are also appealing to Mr Davidson himself to get in touch with the police”.
Anyone who may have seen Mr Davidson or has any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101, or 999 in an emergency, quoting reference number 3371 of July 3, 2024.
