Minister retiring from Invergordon church after 20 years of service

Rev KD Macleod is retiring from Invergordon Church of Scotland on November 24 after 20 years' service.

A native of Lewis, Kenneth Donald worked for his late father's grocery business before training for the ministry and never lost his love for all things Gaelic.

He frequently led the Gaelic monthly services in Dingwall and the church also hosted the BBC Alba Gaelic Watch Night service.

With his wife Kathleen he is credited with being a compassionate and Christian influence in Invergordon and beyond, including time in as interim moderator in Tain and Castle Street.

A collection is being organised for his retiral. Donations can be made to Bank of Scotland 80-05-30, account 10121167 or left in the church plate.
