Moray Firth Radio’s new breakfast host Jodie McCluskey says it is ‘beyond her wildest dreams’ to be given the opportunity to present her brand new breakfast show.

Starting on Monday, Jodie has made the journey through the ranks from news journalist to presenter of the mid-morning show on MFR.

Jodie, who joined the station 14 years ago, said: “I have had a fantastic time presenting all my shows, including my current daytime show. The listeners are brilliant, and I hope they join me on the next stage of my journey as my dream of having my own breakfast show becomes a reality.”

MFR has also announced the return of presenter Tich McCooey.

The MFR legend is making a regular return to the airwaves after leaving the station in 2015.

Tich will make be making regular guest appearances on the new breakfast show including the last Friday of every month. That’s when he will join Jodie to play a mix of the biggest hits from across the decades, while taking calls from listeners.

Tich joins Jodie on May 20 for his first Tich’s Mix.

Tich said: “When the opportunity came up to return to MFR I jumped at the chance.

“I loved every second of the 30-plus years I presented on-air across the north of Scotland, and I still get messages and people stopping me on the street talking about all the old shows.

"I’m looking forward to playing all the biggest hits and chatting to the brilliant MFR listeners.”
