Men to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court after being charged in connection with disturbance at play park in Alness, Ross-shire

TWO men are expected to appear in court today after being charged in connection with a disturbance at a children's play park in the Westford area of Alness.

The incident happened around 3pm on Wednesday.

Both men – aged 50 and 24 – are expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today (Thursday).

Sergeant Calum Reid, of Alness police station, said: “I would like to thank the residents of Westford for their assistance during enquiries into this incident.

"I would also take the opportunity to appeal to any members of the public who may have witnessed the reported disturbance to attend their local police station or contact Police Scotland via 101 and quote incident number NE/3417/19.”
