Studio Smith unveil new four-legged team member ahead of Tain studio winter show opening
VISITORS to an Easter Ross art studio's eagerly anticipated winter show can look forward to an enthusiastic meet and greet thanks to the arrival of a new member of the team.
Studio Smith's winter shows are a firm local favourite in the run-up to the festive season offering art lovers a chance to meet up while browsing unique pieces created by the dynamic duo that is mother and daughter team, Ingebjorg and Inger Smith.
The new addition to the gallery family is Miss Myrtle, already establishing a reputation as a "tinsel tangler"!
The winter show opens on Friday and runs until Christmas Eve.
Studio Smith is located at St Duthus Place on Chapel Road in Tain and the event runs Mondays to Saturdays from 11am to 5pm.
Ingebjorg said: "Taking box canvases to a whole new level has been masses of fun, so lots of these on show. There are Christmassy ideas to put you in the festive mood, optimistic calendars for 2024 and all kinds of cards, place mats, coasters, tins, mugs and Scandi inspired-handmade decorations and knitwear."
During Covid, Ingebjorg hit on the idea of her unique box canvas artworks after combining her love of birds with the now symbolic NHS rainbow to place in the window of her studio and making a donation to charities.
