Mechanic from Alness fined at Inverness Sheriff Court over careless driving on A832 near Conon Bridge

A mechanic running late for an appointment allowed his concentration to slip and his car to straddle two lanes of a busy Highland road.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard police coming in the opposite direction on the A862 near Conon Bridge had to brake and take evasive action due to Tomasz Boniek’s manoeuvre.
Boniek (42) of Milnafua, Alness, admitted a charge of careless driving.
He was fined £190 and given three penalty points in connection with the incident which occurred on January 29, 2020.
