Pensioner who died in An Teallach fall while walking in Wester Ross named by Police Scotland at Ronald Garwood, from Roybridge

A PENSIONER who died on An Teallach at the weekend has been named by police.

Ronald Garwood (70), from the Roybridge area, was killed in a fall while walking on An Teallach Sgurr Fiona near Dundonnell on Sunday.

Emergency services were made aware of the fall at around 1.35pm and Mr Garwood was located by an HM Coastguard helicopter.

His next of kin have been updated.

Sergeant Matt Ravenhill said: "Our thoughts are with Mr Garwood's family and friends at this difficult time.

"There are no suspicious circumstances and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
