POLICE were called to A&E at Raigmore Hospital to deal with an unresponsive man in the waiting room.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard Christopher Ross (39) of Wade Circle, Inverness, refused to divulge personal details on May 22, 2020.

Fiscal depute Robert Weir said: “He was causing issues for staff and the police. He was asked a few questions to help him but he refused to speak to anyone. A staff nurse tried to engage him in conversation but he reacted to being touched, stood up, stared at the nurse and then coughed in his face.”

Ross admitted culpable and reckless conduct and sentence was deferred until February 14 for a background report and restriction of liberty order assessment.
