Man charged with dangerous driving after crash on A9

The A9 has reopened in both directions following an accident involving three vehicles south of Dalwhinnie this afternoon.

The Highlands' arterial road was closed for more than two hours.

It is understood that no-one was seriously injured in the accident.

There were reports that the air ambulance attended the scene as well as fire appliances, police and ambulance crews.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a three-vehicle crash on the A9 near Dalwhinnie at around 3pm today.

“One man has been charged in connection with dangerous driving.

"The road was re-opened around 5.20pm.”
