Man assaulted in the Maggie's Wood area of Dingwall yesterday morning and police appeal for information

Police in Dingwall are hunting a suspect who attacked a man in the Maggie's Wood area of the town.

It was near Bridgend Avenue between 7.30am and 8am yesterday.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area around that time who may have witnessed the incident.

They also would like to see any dashcam footage that may be able to provide further information.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police are particularly keen to speak to a person with a red car who assisted the victim in getting medical treatment who left the area prior to police attending."
