Man (47) appears in Highland court on charges of shoplifting, threatening behaviour and possession of bladed weapon

A 47-year-old man appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court on several charges including two of possessing a bladed weapon.

Philip Rake of no fixed abode also made no plea to two charges of theft by shoplifting, attempting to pervert the course of justice and one of threatening behaviour.

He was committed for further examination and released on bail.
