Man airlifted to hospital after crash on Highland route earlier today

A van driver has been airlifted to hospital in Aberdeen after sustaining serious injuries in a road accident on the A95 by the Speyside Centre.

The crash happened at around 7.45am at the junction of the trunk road and Skye of Curr turn-off near Dulnain Bridge.

The Aviemore-Grantown road was closed in both directions and emergency services attended the scene.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Emergency services are in attendance following a crash between a tractor and a van on the A95 at the Skye of Curr junction.

"A man has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by helimed with serious injuries."
