Man (65) dies after alarm raised in Wester Ross village of Ullapool





A REPORT will be sent to the procurator fiscal following the death of a man in a Wester Ross town.

Police said emergency services were alerted after the alarm was raised in Ullapool yesterday (Wednesday) evening.

It came after a man took unwell at premises on the village’s Quay Street.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.20pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, we received a report that a 65-year-old man had taken ill at premises on Quay Street, Ullapool.

“Emergency services attended, however, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
