Lochbroom Sheepdog Trials auction to benefit Highland Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support as lots revealed
A REMARKABLE array of lots are up for auction at a very special sheepdog trial taking place in Wester Ross this weekend.
Everything from a day’s stalking to a commercial drone video survey and bags of firewood to quirky overnight stays have been put up for auction for two very good causes.
The annual sheepdog trial at Inverbroom Farm traditionally raises money for charity.

This year Highland Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support will benefit.
The Lochrboom Sheepdog Trials on Saturday, August 10 will honour Rhoda Urquhart and Roddy ‘Rhiroy’ Mackenzie.
One of the organisers, Marie Renwick, said: “We always raise funds for a charity and this year we decided on the Highland Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support as we have as a family recently needed both charities.
“We plan to have our normal trial of over 60 top dogs and also a BBQ, a baking stall, a bumper raffle and an auction at 3pm.
“We have some amazing lots up for auction, several donations of fresh venison sides, many donations of hill stalking, river fishing, and self-catering accommodation.”
The last trial was a fundraiser for the Queen Elizabeth Children's Hospital in Glasgow and raised £20,000.
Said Marie: “Everyone has been incredibly generous again this year.”
