A BLACK Isle care home has put its residents in the frame for a trip down memory lane with a photography project.

The team at Eilean Dubh in Fortrose hooked up with photographer Duncan Rennie at The Travelling Cooper Photography who has captured images of local landmarks, scenic attractions and wildlife which now have pride of place in the newly opened care home.

The home, operated by Parklands Care Homes, said: "His images are already proving popular with residents and staff and are a daily reminder that we live and work in a beautiful part of the world."

Mr Rennie said: "It was a real privilege to be invited by Parklands Care Homes to take a range of local photographs to be displayed at their new Fortrose home, Eilean Dubh.

"This follows on from a reminiscence project I was involved in at Parklands Glenisla Care Home, where the aim was to capture through photography - the places that have shaped and inspired residents' lives.

"This project is also about making the same connection, bringing the outside community into Eilean Dubh to be viewed and enjoyed by all.

"Participating in these projects has changed my outlook on how I approach photography. Capturing a photograph that has significance to a person is rather special. It can stir many emotions and reconnect with the past. It can often be a converastion piece and bring much happiness and joy. So bringing local popular locations into Eilean Dubh will hopefully get good chats going with plenty stories to be told.

"Enjoy everyone."
