Highland police raise alert over livestock worrying with appeal to dog owners

DOG owners are being reminded to keep their pets under control around livestock.

Northern police warn at this time of year "we can see an increase in sheep worrying and officers are reminding dog owners to be considerate".

They said: "Please remember that it is your dog and your responsibility to keep them under control and that they cannot escape from your property onto land with livestock."
