A ROSS-BASED snapper saw eight of her pictures shortlisted at a prestigious international award.
Photographer Lynne Kennedy, from Kyle of Lochalsh, had two Highly Commended entries and eight pictures in total shortlisted across four different categories at the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2022.
Ms Kennedy specialises in portraits of couples eloping on the Isle of Skye and the Highlands, in which context the two highly commended images were taken.
She said: "I was really pleased because it's such a prestigious competition and even just making it as a highly commended entry is really good
"Last year in the same category I was in the second place, so although there is a bit of disappointment at not having placed this year but it's still quite an honour and achievement, the calibre of the competition is incredible and they have entries from all over the world"
Ms Kennedy has been a wedding photographer since 2007 and is now working on a book about local produce and food producers on the Isle of Skye.
Her highly commended entries, "Stormy Fizz" and "Soaked" both captured a champagne-popping moment.
"In 'soaked' we were out on a boat with this couple who wanted to get married in a very remote place on the Isle of Skye, on Loch Coruisk which is reachable only by foot or boat.
"On the way back, the groomed opened the champagne to have a toast, but it was also really windy so the bride was invested by the fizz.
"I always try to get those moments when couples open champagne.
"For another picture that was shortlisted, the couple didn't have a wedding cake with them so a lady that was there offered some Cadbury's chocolate fingers instead!"
She said she her goal is to participate next year aiming to get a first placement.
