A WOMAN who kept her secret weight loss push from friends and customers in a Ross-shire village for three months is set to reveal her life-changing experience tonight.

Lisa Petrie from Lochcarron took part in a undercover weight loss TV series Secret Body under the guidance of experts Stephen Clarke and Rab Shields.

The quirky series follows people who wish to lose weight without attracting the attention of family and friends by wearing a specially designed body suit that masks their progress until a big reveal.

Mum of two Lisa (38) found the pounds piling on after she made a move away from her home town of Forres in 2017 to live in Lochcarron.

She immediately missed her twice-weekly dose of exercise classes when she moved and found it impossible to stay motivated working out alone. She said: "Trying to work out on my own, just wasn’t the same and that is when the weight just started going on.”

Enter the kilted coaches whose BBC Scotland series runs on Tuesday nights at 10pm.

Lisa, who features in next week's, attempted to keep her transformation a secret by wearing the specially designed body suit built by theatrical costume fabricators Chantal Short and Athena Patterson.

Her route wasn't to be simple though with a grumbling appendix upsetting some of her plans.

She describes the experience as "the kick up the backside I needed" and is now preparing to be a personal trainer herself to help others: "That’s how passionate I am about the whole thing."

The second episode of the show is on BBC Scotland tonight (January 18) at 10pm.
