Kessock Bridge users thanked for patience as scheme enters 12th week
SURFACING work on the second phase of the £13.2m Kessock Bridge revamp will soon get underway as the 20-week programme progresses.
A northbound contra-flow and consequent delays remain part of the set-up as the scheme enters its 12th week with application of the new waterproofing system, painting of steel kerbs and and surfacing of the southbound footpath all planned.
Preparation for main surfacing of the southbound carriageway will also get underway.
Calum Galloway, BEAR Scotland’s Bridges Manager for the North West Unit, said: "Waterproofing works are on-going and we are making good progress with this part of the programme.
"This week will also see surfacing works start on the southbound footpath and we will also be preparing for the main surfacing works to get underway soon.
"We appreciate the patience and cooperation of the travelling public as this major project continues."
