Journalist Lesley Riddoch to bring Denmark documentary screening to Tain
AWARD-winning journalist, Lesley Riddoch is set to visit Tain with a special screening of “Denmark: The State of Happiness” followed by a Q&A session.
The event, taking place on May 27 at 7pm at the Duthac Centre, will see a screening of the documentary exploring Denmark’s “successful social model” and examines what Scotland might learn from their Nordic approach to governance, community and wellbeing.
Following the screening, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an open discussion about Scotland's future and share their ideas about potential paths forward for the nation.
"We are delighted to welcome Lesley Riddoch to Tain. Do come along and see the film and then add your ideas to the discussion about what living in Scotland could be like in the future," said event organiser, Marilyn Wallace.
Lesley Riddoch is a journalist, broadcaster and commentator on Scottish affairs who has long advocated for examining Nordic models of society as potential blueprints for Scotland's development.
Admission is a £3 donation on the door. Refreshments will be available, and all are welcome to attend the event.
