POLICE are on the lookout for more special constables to volunteer in the Highlands.

The force's Highlands and Islands division is eager for more volunteers to come forward.

And it has flagged up information about the roles on its website.

"Interested in becoming a police volunteer? Want to know more about the application process and what it's like to be a Special Constable in the Highlands and Islands?" said a spokesman.

"Please email Constable Fisher at HighlandsIslandsSpecialConstablesCoordinator@scotland.pnn.police.uk or visit www.scotland.police.uk/recruitment/special-constables."
