'Jabbernaut' sets a course for Tain for Covid-19 vaccination clinic targetting 18 to 39-year-olds

THE 'jabbernaut' is heading to Tain next weekend for a Covid-19 vaccination clinic aimed at 18 to 39 year olds.

The Saturday, July 3 drop-in will be staged at Tain Health Centre car park from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

This will be a drop-in clinic for patients registered at Tain & District Medical Group only who are in this age category and who have not already had their first vaccination.

There will be no invitation letters and those who fit into that category are asked to just turn up on the day.

Tain and District Medical Group posted: "If you already have an appointment for Inverness, you can still attend this drop-in clinic. This is not a practice-run clinic so please direct any queries to NHS Inform.

If you are age 40 and over and registered with Tain and District Medical Group, and you were born on or before 31.3.1981, you should contact the practice directly on 01862 892203 for your first Covid vaccination. You should NOT attend this clinic

Age 18- 39: If you are registered with Tain and District Medical Group and you were born born between 1.4.1981 and 31.3.2003 you should have heard from NHS Highland for your vaccine. You can attend an appointment in Inverness OR this drop-in clinic on July 3,

Age 18 and under: If you are registered with Tain & District Medical Group and you were born on or after 1.4.2003, you should NOT attend this clinic. The practice said: "We are awaiting information on what happens for people newly turning 18 since April 1."
