A Ross-shire man kicked off against three police officers following a row at home, a court has heard.

Police were called out following an argument between Lewis Forbes (32) and his girlfriend on August 7, Inverness Sheriff Court was told.

When they turned up at Forbes's home in Windsor Place in Conon Bridge around 10.30pm he started acting aggressively towards officers.

Fiscal depute Robert Weir said: "The accused was abusive.

"The matter deteriorated."

Appearing from custody Forbes admitted shouting, swearing, uttering threats and struggling with three police constables.

Sheriff James Mulgrew deferred sentence for the preparation of background reports and a restriction of liberty assessment.
