“We take this opportunity to thank all of the local community and our store colleagues for their support throughout our time here in Invergordon.”

A number of people expressed regret over the closure plans and thanked the store for its support of a number of local groups.

Maxine Smith posted: “That’s terrible that you didn’t get enough custom to remain open. Thank you for your charitable side. You were good to some local community groups. You will be missed by me anyway.”

Paul Stirling added: “Unfortunately it’s use it or lose it and that’s the case on this particular case…Sorry to hear this.”

Elizabeth Morley added: “So sorry to see this wishing the staff all the best.”

The chain pulled the plug on Dingwall back in May of 2023.

At that time, the firm expressed its regret and said it regularly reviews stores across its property estate. Then, it flagged Invergordon - now also soon to close - as an alternative.
