ROAD safety around a particular area of Invergordon will be amongst the top items on the agenda of a local school's parent council meeting later this month.

South Lodge Parent Council's next meeting will be held on Thursday, January 27.

Ahead of the meeting, it announced: "On the agenda this month we will be discussing the issue of road safety, particularly around the Gordon Terrace/Social Club junctions area.

"Please get in touch with us via messenger if you have any experiences, comments and/or suggestions that you would like to share. The more information we can can gather from parents the better as this will aid us in pursuing any possible solutions with the road safety team at the Highland Council, for example lollipop person or other road safety measures.

"Also if there are any other issues that you would like to see on our agenda, please do let us know. We are here to represent and support parents so are happy to discuss and take forward any issue on your behalf."
