Invergordon port shortlisted for UK-wide award

THE Invergordon-based Port of Cromarty Firth has been shortlisted for a major national award.

Generating £275 million annually to the economy, Port of Cromarty Firth are known for their offshore wind, oil, gas and green hydrogen — as well as being the first port of call for cruise ships in the Highlands.

The port has now been shortlisted for the Port Development Award at the British Ports Association Annual Awards, which are taking place on October 9 and 10.

In a post announcing the shortlisting, Port of Cromarty Firth said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Port Development Award in the British Ports Association Annual Awards 2024.

“It is fantastic to be recognised for our commitment to driving innovation and fostering sustainable growth within the port industry.

“Best of luck to all the nominees.”
