Invergordon plays host to Pat Munro charity golf event

A Ross-shire golf event has raised more than £15,000 for a host of local good causes.

The Pat Munro Foundation’s 8th Annual Golf Day held at Invergordon Golf Club on May 24 once again proven to be a major success, bringing together 17 teams for a day of golf, camaraderie and community spirit.

The event raised an impressive £7700, surpassing the total from the previous year.

With match funding provided by Pat Munro (Alness) Ltd, the overall contribution to local causes has reached an outstanding £15,400.

All proceeds will go directly towards supporting local community groups, charities, and social enterprises across the areas where Pat Munro operates, making a tangible difference in the lives of those in the community.

“We are incredibly proud of the generosity shown by everyone involved,” said Hamish Little, a spokesperson for the Pat Munro Foundation.

Scratch Competition Winners: “Dimpled Balls” – Stuart Thompson, David McCormack, Fraser Oman and Jinxy from J&R McLeod Plumbing and Heating

Handicap Winners: “Bogey Boys” – Donnie Calder, David MacGruer, Rhys Hossack and Robbie Mackenzie from Calder Electrical

The drinks buggies sponsored by Laing and Inglis and the on-course refreshments supplied by Whyte & Mackay were a firm favourite, keeping players refreshed and spirits high throughout the day.
