AN Easter Ross vet was spoiled for choice at a colourful pet show which attracted plenty of interest at a well-supported event in Invergordon last weekend.

With a presence in Alness, Invergordon and Tain, Easter Ross Vets supremo Paco Morera saw a few familiar faces when he judged the pet show held as part of the RNLI open day at the weekend.

The vet, whose larger-than-life star turn as a pantomime dame at a Christmas show in Tain revealed another of his talents, found himself centre stage again at the Invergordon event.

His colleague Sapphie Burry said later: "Paco was delighted to see such a big turnout, especially a large number of young owners showing great responsibility and care for their pets.

"It was also the first year we had so many puppies and young dogs come along. Paco took the opportunity to mention the dangers of puppy farming and was glad to see that everyone was conscious of the problem. We hope to see this show continue to grow year after year to support the RNLI and healthy ownership of dogs and other pets alike.

"He did ask that he not have to judge the category 'Dog The Judge Would Most Like To Take Home' again as it's too difficult and he would like to take them all home – though his partner would kill him!"
