Invergordon arrest of man (42) charged with sexual offences confirmed by police

A 42-year-old man in an Easter Ross town has been arrested and charged by police in connection with alleged sexual offences.

It followed an incident in the town earlier this week when a group describing itself as a voluntary online child protection service attended a property in Invergordon to confront an individual.

Police later confirmed in a statement: “Around 4.40pm on Tuesday, July 30, we were made aware of a group gathering at a property in Invergordon.

“Officers attended and a 42-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with sexual offences.

“He will appear at Inverness Sheriff Court at a later date.”
