TWO Easter Ross lads fed up of encountering dog poo on their walks in the woods took action to clean it up.

The Co-op Invergordon fundraising page posted a notice of appreciation for the lads, Ruaridh and Hamish, who were helped by mum Steph.

The local Co-op posted: "Huge well done to little Ruaridh and Hamish who decided they had enough of all the dog mess on their walks in the woods and decided to clean it up themselves (with help from mum Steph). Well done, boys."

South Lodge Primary in Invergordon also gave the thumbs up, saying: "Could not be prouder. Well done boys - all of us at South Lodge are extremely proud of the two of you."

Others were full of praise for their efforts. One posted: "Aw, well done boys – let's hope the dog walkers who leave their mess take a lesson from the boys."

Another stated: "What clever and thoughtful little boys! Shame the dog owners aren’t as courteous!"
